Everyone has decided a presentation thesis, now I would like you to write the arguments supporting your thesis.
Please bring your writing to our next lesson.
For homework, please choose two thesis statements you are interested in and would like to study and give a presentation about. Thesis statement #1 should be your first choice and #2 should be your second choice. These thesis statements can be from the list in class, or they can be your own ideas, but students cannot choose the same thesis statements as other students.
Also, please write 125+ words about why you are interested in your thesis statement (it`s best to choose thesis statement #1).
Add your thesis statements to the website by clicking the COMMENT link below.

For homework, please write 30+ words (online) answering the following question:
Which is a more difficult presentation skill for you, delivery or non-verbal communication? How can you improve this skill in the second semester?
I recommend that you read the handout from this week's lesson. It will be an important part of next week's lesson!
Next week you must give a short casual presentation (2-3 minutes) about your summer holiday. This presentation will be worth 10 homework points:
5 pts - delivery (memorization, fluency, pronunciation, voice inflection)
5 pts - non-verbal communication (gestures, posture, eye contact)
Also, please download and print this handout for next week.
If you have completed your presentation, please watch the video of your presentation and answer these questions online for homework:
Our next presentation will be in next week. This will be a repeat of our first presentation, but it will be a poster presentation.

Posters will receive a score out of 10 points. They will be marked on :
You should practice your presentation with your poster before Presentation Day!
For homework, please watch the video of your presentation and answer the following questions online:
1. What were the strong points and weak points of your presentation?
2. Did you use many gestures of emphasis in your presentation? How many?
3. Do you think you received a higher or lower score than your first presentation? Why?
4. If you had another chance to do this presentation, what would you do differently?
